*Oh*. This is excellent. It's almost fairytale like in the way it's told, but still so grounded in the grittiness of everyday reality. Brash Roy and Miserable Roy just about killed me, and Darryl worrying (! I love the implication that HE talked to Toby about Roy, too) and Toby's sad microwave-dinner house and his sympathy. Yes yes yes.
